OUR STORY

     Shortly after we were married, we began turning our house into a home. In doing so, we wanted to create a space that evoked a sense of calm through understated beauty, simplicity, and clean design - a space that would feel as rejuvenating today as ten years from now. Since we begin and end each day in the bedroom, we thought our efforts should start there. However, during our search, we began to realize that what we desired proved difficult to find. We wanted color, but nothing too loud or too muted. We wanted texture and depth, yet without garish prints and overly intricate stitching. Our vision seemed easily attainable, but we simply could not find a product that embodied our ideal.

     Then, on a trip to Thailand, we discovered the beauty of Thai silk. We realized that silk is an incredible material because it holds amazing complexity in its natural character and texture. When viewed in varying environments, we noticed that silk can adopt an array of different characteristics. We have always been inspired by the richness, depth and enduring quality of designs that are simple, streamlined, and pure - whether in architecture, fashion, food, or simply art. Thai silk embodies this essence. After this discovery, we decided that Thai silk was the perfect material for creating the bedding set we envisioned.

     We know the satisfaction our family and friends have enjoyed through our products. For us, true lasting luxury is not found in products alone, but what they stand for. At Pearl Street we aspire to live in a pure, simple, and understated style and hope to share this with you as well.
